Spring Capsule Wardrobe 2024

What is a capsule wardrobe?
Wondering what a capsule wardrobe even is? To create a capsule spring wardrobe for 2024 that you will be able to choose key pieces that you can mix and match to give you the building blocks you can put together that will create outfits that are wearable and simple for everyday. I have created a spring wardrobe for 2024 that incorporates the key trends seen in the Autumn/winter fashion weeks.
What should be in a spring capsule wardrobe?
There are a number of piece that will be staples no matter what the season. A pair of jeans, white t’shirt, a pair of trainers, a light weight jumper and a pair of flat shoes. For spring there are other items you may wish to include a trench coat, denim jacket and a lightweight dress. To start creating a spring capsule wardrobe, start by going through your wardrobe and finding the key pieces, a tip is o try them on and take pictures when you find looks you like. This way you can refer back to them when you’re not sure what to wear. Looking a the key trends for spring 2024 you can include key pieces that will fit into your capsule wardrobe.
With the spring fashion trends focusing on whites and blue tones, I have put together a spring capsule wardrobe for 2024 that focuses with that theme in mind, but still keeps your wardrobe on a minimum that can be mixed and matched.

Trench Coat
A trench coat is a staple item when it comes to spring as the weather can be unpredictable, I have found it’s good to invest in a light weight trench that can be worn casually or dressed up for a more glam look.
Denim Jacket
Light layers are key for spring. A denim jacket is perfect for for this. You can wear a denim jacket with everything.
Blazer
Outerwear can be so versatile when putting together a spring wardrobe, I have included this white blazer because it is smart and comfortable. A simple white blazer can be styled with jeans for the day or smart trousers for a glam look.
Cardigan
In keeping with the spring trends for 2024, The colour blue is a must, I have chosen this cardigan so that it can styled with lots of outfits and is great for layering.
Hoodie
This hoodie is in a natural tone, which make it easy to team up with other pieces in your wardrobe. When you’re thinking about creating your wardrobe consider choosing tones that blend together.
Stripped Jumper
A stripped jumper is a must have for a classic spring capsule wardrobe, it is so versatile and easy to layer as the weather can be cooler, when you don’t eat to wear a coat.
Oversized Shirt
There are so many ways to style an over-sized shirt. You can wear it on its own with a pair of jeans or layer up over a classic t’shirt. The oversized shirt I have added is in a pale blue, which completely ties in with the other pieces.
T’Shirt
The classic white T’shirt should be a staple in everyones wardrobe (in my opinion), they are so easy o throw on and can be worn with everything I always like to wear a t’shirt when I’m feeling more casual.
Blouse
Blouses can be worn with jeans for a casual feel or if you are looking for a more smart look, you can pair it with some heels and a pair of tailored trousers.
Light-Weight Knit Top
Having a light weight knit top in your wardrobe is an essential for spring. If it’s cooler you can layer it over a dress or wear with a pair of your favourite jeans.
Knit Dress
Knit dresses are great to throw on with a pair of ballet pumps if you’re going to for lunch with the girls and add some heels and your ready for the evening.
Linen Trousers
Linen trousers are an essential when curating you wardrobe, they are perfect for spring and as the weather gets warmer they will take you right through to spring. This pair of linen trousers are super comfy and are really soft.
Jeans
I love the way bootcut jeans look, they can be dressed up or worn casually. There are so many different style of jean it’s great when you find the ones you are happy with. Bootcut jeans have alway been my favourite as they look so good with everything.
Light Weight Trousers
Light weight tailored trousers are super smart and easy to wear. I have chosen this light taupe pair as are in a neutral tone which makes them super easy to pair with the other pieces in your wardrobe.
Shoes
When you are curating your capsule wardrobe it is important to include footwear. t’s so easy to put together an outfit and then not be able to find any shoes that you can wear with the outfit. There are three staples for a spring. I find a pair of trainers /pumps, these are comfortable and stylish. A pair of flat ballet pumps are great for a more chic look which can be paired with so many looks. A pair of heels for a more glam look, which can take an outfit from day to night.
Spring Capsule Wardrobe Accessories
Accessories can complete an outfit, I like to add a couple of staple pieces that you can mix and match. I love a cute pair of sunglasses, because they complete the outfit as we are going into spring. Add a statement necklace or classic pair of earrings that you can wear with different outfits.
To create a wardrobe that versatile you don’t need lots of bags. A cross-body bag is the perfect investment that goes with every outfit that you can wear from day to night. Classic tote bag that has a natural colour is key to include into your wardrobe, you can wear it everyday.
